The delta between the earliest tier and the gate is double. For a household of four, the difference between buying in June and buying at the gate is $120. Sweet Pea is a non-profit and the profits fund arts grants, so a case can be made for paying the gate price on purpose. Most residents do not.

Outlet pre-sales run through local retailers from early July through the Tuesday before the festival, which is the version most people actually use.

Hours and pacing

The festival keeps a specific rhythm across the three days, and knowing it saves you from arriving at the wrong hour.

4. Bring the kids Sunday afternoon. Shorter hours, no parade closure, and the beer garden traffic has thinned.
